The 2015-2016 Planting Season Kicked off with TREE FEST on Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at St. George’s Episcopal School 923 Napoleon Ave. There was Live Music by MITHRAS, Food Trucks, and Kids Tent Potting City Park Oak Tree Acorns.  There was a series of Guest Lectures that included:

10:00 – 11:00 am: “Social, Economic, and Environmental Benefits of Trees”
11:00 – 12 noon: “Managing Water on your Lots – How to Build and Install a Rain Barrel on your Property”
12:00 – 1:00 pm: “The Importance of Trees, Tree Care, and Public Tree Guidelines”
1:00 – 2:00 pm: “Front Yard Initiative – Paving Less and Planting More”
2:00 – 3:00 pm: “The Importance of Access to Fresh Fruit and Urban Orchards” And “Best Practices for Fruit Tree Selection, Care, and Planting”
