“The mission of NOLA Tree Project is growing stronger, healthier communities through tree planting, community service, and disaster relief programs”

Over the past 10 years the mission of Nola Tree Project (formerly Hike for KaTREEna) has been to replant the 100,000 trees lost to Hurricane Katrina. With the help of 65,000 volunteers we have planted over 38,000 and have become the Region’s leading tree organization.

But it’s a new day for our city and our organization so we are changing our name! Hike for KaTREEna is now NOLA Tree Project, but our mission remains the same; to grow stronger, healthier communities through our Urban Forestry plantings, Big TREEsy Giveaways, Community & Schoolyard Orchards, and Arbor Day events. ”

Thank you for a TREEmendous Planting Season!  We will resume our Big TREEsy Giveaways and Tree Plantings in

November, 2017.  Check our website in October, 2017 for dates!
